Lifecycle Features

Feature Set

The Lifecycle Feature Set provides visibility into the operational and commercial lifespan of assets and configurations within the TOTUUS platform.

By integrating vendor-provided end-of-life (EoL) and end-of-support (EoS) data directly into the CMDB, TOTUUS enables proactive lifecycle planning, risk mitigation, and investment prioritisation.

This feature ensures that infrastructure decisions — such as replacements, upgrades, or maintenance renewals — are based on accurate, verified, and continuously updated information.

The feature set introduces vendor lifecycle awareness directly into the operational fabric of TOTUUS.

Even as a single feature today, End of Life intelligence creates significant downstream value — enabling proactive maintenance, informed refresh planning, and stronger governance over infrastructure investment and risk.

In the near future additional intelligence services will be added to this feature set including Vulnerability and Energy Intelligence.

Constantly Ready

Lifecycle Intelligence

TOTUUS Lifecycle Inteligence (TLI) provides comprehensive tracking of hardware and software lifecycle milestones across the estate.

Integrates with vendor lifecycle databases (e.g. Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, HPE) to determine End of Sale, End of Support, and End of Life dates for each model and software release.

Each configuration item in the CMDB is enriched with lifecycle metadata, enabling clear visibility of risk exposure, refresh priorities, and compliance implications.

Supports visual indicators and reports showing:

  • Devices approaching EoL or EoS
  • Devices beyond support date
  • Replacement model or successor information
  • Vendor and source references for verification

Vulnerability Intelligence

TOTUUS Vulnerability Intelligence (TVI) provides integrated visibility into known security vulnerabilities affecting hardware, software, and firmware across the estate.

Ingests data from authoritative sources such as NIST’s National Vulnerability Database (NVD) and vendor advisories, correlating CVEs with discovered assets using model, OS version, and configuration attributes stored in the CMDB.

Identifies vulnerabilities with and without known mitigations, enabling operators to distinguish between genuine exposure and risks that have been addressed through configuration hardening.

Supports grouping and prioritisation based on severity, exploit availability, affected services, and business impact — ensuring remediation efforts are aligned with operational and compliance priorities.

Forms the foundation for automated validation of mitigation status when combined with StableNet® configuration templates and TOTUUS governance rules.

Energy Intelligence

TOTUUS Energy Intelligence (TEI) delivers accurate, model-driven insight into the energy consumption of network devices, leveraging a deterministic calculation engine built on vendor data sheets, measured profiles, and modular configuration attributes.

Estimates idle, typical, and maximum power draw for each device by combining base chassis values, module power contributions, fan profiles, and PSU efficiency characteristics.

Enables estate-wide analysis of energy footprint, carbon impact, and optimisation opportunities — including idle shutdown, consolidation, or refresh decisions guided by consumption and efficiency metrics.

Supports scenario modelling (e.g., post-refresh consumption, multi-site optimisation) and integrates with lifecycle data to highlight high-power, end-of-life devices suitable for targeted replacement.

Provides a consistent, vendor-verified energy intelligence layer that can be presented through dashboards, customer reports, or capacity management workflows.
